Building TenFlow

I have worked as a sign language interpreter and educator since 2012. Over the years, I watched technology promise to simplify freelance work while making many independent professionals manage even more portals, calendars, payment systems, invoices, and email threads.

As I balanced interpreting, family life, business building, and serious health challenges, managing the work began to feel like a second job. I needed one place to organize assignments, clients, income, invoices, communication, and reminders.

So I built it.

Growing up in the Deaf community also shaped how I approached the problem. I was raised with a collective mindset: people thrive when information, resources, and support are shared.

That meant the solution could not stop with me.

As I shared the early tools with others—including friends from creative and service trades—it became clear the overload wasn’t unique to interpreters. Artists, stylists, consultants, and freelancers across the board were managing the same fragmentation.

What began as a tool for interpreters grew into a larger vision for independent professionals, service organizations, and the people whose lives sit behind the work.

Those experiences taught me something many platforms overlook: privacy and professional confidentiality cannot be treated as optional features. Sensitive names, details, and client information deserve thoughtful protection from the beginning.

TenFlow was created to reduce administrative overload and connect the moving parts of work, money, communication, and real life.

That is the heart of TenFlow.
